Jour 655: Fundamentals of Participatory Journalism: Introduction to the concepts and tools of interactive participatory journalism including social networking, interactive publishing, and other new forms of media. Prerequisite: Journalism 720.

Requirements: Class participation and weekly written assignments 25% | Discussion leader 10%  | Take home midterm examination: 25% | Final project: 40% = 100%. The class website will be located at: www.commlex.com/j655 and WebCT.
 
Readings: There is no textbook for this class. Readings will be handed out in class or posted online. More details about the assignments and final projects will be covered during class.
